Facebook, Twitter, YouTube come to work

Employers look for ways to use social media sites If not, your company may be too old school -- stuck in the trappings of baby boomer business practices.

... At ePrize, an interactive promotions firm in Pleasant Ridge with 250 employees, Internet access to social media sites has never been restricted. "We work in these emerging technologies. We produce contents for Twitter. We create Facebook apps. For some of our clients, we build and manage their fan pages," said spokesperson Jen Gray.

Just a couple of weeks ago, ePrize employees were exhorted to spend more company time on the sites. "We want you to spend another half hour a day for personal use on Facebook and other social media, so you're learning the language and always keeping up with the social terminology," Gray said. "We just want to engage ourselves in this technology."
