Vice President, Production
Project Management - Detroit (HQ)
The Vice President, Production, is ultimately responsible for the successful execution of all projects in their Division. The VP will proactively implement best practices for project management while tracking achievement of milestones, spending against budget, quality of deliverables, risk assessment and management of scope. The VP will establish requirements methodologies, project management methodologies and will help build and retain a growing world-class production delivery team. The VP is also responsible for providing presale and production support on new and on-going projects, interacting with clients, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring performance optimization on all projects and programs. The VP will serve as a mentor and leader to the Directors and Team Leads under their supervision.
- Building a shared vision for their division and inspiring the team to action
consistent with this vision. - Developing systems and processes necessary for the tracking, planning and execution of client and internal projects.
- Analyzing trends, developing and maintaining a program for organizational learning and sharing of experiences, internally and externally.
- Analyzing short- and long-term resource needs, both internally and offshore.
- Tracking milestones and timelines across projects and working with Directors and Team Leads to identify work flow, personnel and financial resource allocations.
- Analyzing and resolving issues that have the potential to jeopardize performance and/or ability to meet agreed upon deliverables.
- Analyzing financial and operational reports.
- Recommending and implementing new systems and processes, and improvements in Production.
- Developing consistent metrics for measuring project success and team performance.
Job Specifications and Competencies:
- 8+ years of experience in the web or marketing industry.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and planning skills.
- Able to translate technical requirements to marketing and non-technical partners.
- Highly organized, extremely detail oriented and able to balance multiple priorities.
- Possess strong leadership skills.
- Able to build strong teams and effectively grow and develop team members and direct reports.
- Able to build strong, resilient relationships with clients and be viewed as a partner.
- Ability to gather and interpret data as a tool for decision making.
- Account Management experience in an agency setting and/or experience working with agencies on the client side of the business is a plus.
